It must be understood that the Company acts as a passive conduit for the online distribution and publication of User Content and has no obligation to screen communications or information in advance and is not responsible for screening or monitoring User Content posted by Users. However, the Company may review and delete any User Content that, in the sole judgment of, violates these Security Policies, violates applicable law, rule or regulation, is offensive or illegal or violates the rights of, harms or threatens the safety of Users of any site. Each member must understand that is it impossible to check the validity of each member and every posting they may make on our website. and TreeTop‚Ñ¢ Software Company, LLC, the Florida limited liability company that designed the website and licenses its use to the Company, and their respective boards, assigns, etc. shall not be held liable for the actions, errors, or omissions of its members. PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO CHECK OUT ANY INFORMATION A MEMBER POSTS BEFORE CONTACTING THE INDIVIDUAL NAMED IN THE LISTING. IF YOU DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH A PARTICULAR ORGANIZATION, AN ORGANIZATION'S LOCATION, OR AN ORGANIZATIONAL MEMBER DO NOT GIVE OUT PERSONAL CONTACT INFORMATION.

Our Security Features

Safety is our number one concern. We believe that our security features are as good as they can possibly be, and when compared to print media such as newspapers, newsletters, or magazines, we feel certain that our built in security features are superior to anything currently available. is continually looking for ways to improve the safety of our website and we welcome comments or suggestions from our members.

You may notice that we have several features that assure our members of complete anonymity while using our site. Features such as:

No uploading of student member's photographs - certain Internet websites encourage the use of personal photographs and invite public scrutiny. We will never ask you to upload a member's personal photograph with the exception of a tutor or mentor where we feel it would add to the safety level of our member's usage.

No sale or exchange of member's personal info - WE WILL NOT EVER KNOWINGLY GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION. We do not sell our member list. We know that we must earn your trust.

Parental consent - we require that a parent or legal guardian be involved for any student member under the age of 18. We just think this is smart.

No student to student messaging - with the exception of INTER-school communication, our website restricts usage of an "email system" between the parties. We encourage communication between student and student and between student and faculty at a particular school, college, or university; however, we will always discourage blind communication between our other members and students. Students ALWAYS have the option to block or restrict communication from other students or faculty at their school and must give permission to each member BEFORE a member can directly communicate with the student.

No Instant Messaging - there is no system in place that encourages or allows pop-up instant messages.

No Organizational contact - Organizational members cannot INITIATE contact with student members. A student member must contact them first and it is up to the student member to provide their contact information after they have determined it is advisable to do so. We do not provide Organizational Members with access to Student Members on a direct basis. The option to contact is ALWAYS up the student member.

Tracking - tracks com user's IP address and records this address in our security database. If, for any reason, administration finds that a member has posted material that is considered objectionable, that member's account is suspended and their IP address is provided to their ISP (Internet Service Provider).

While we DO NOT check each and every Member's primary contact information, we do require that they provide the following:

FEIN - Each Employer Member must have a FEIN number. Each Organizational Member is required during the initial sign-up to provide us with certain corporate information within their respective state.

Felonious History - While we make every effort to warn our student members through use of pop-up notices, it must be understood by all the parties that each Member is NOT checked NOR VERIFIED by for criminal background checks and cannot be held responsible for a member who may have committed an offense such as any of the following:

  • Felony assault or Felony Battery
  • Convicted Sexual Offender or Sexual Predator
  • Felonies involving possession or use of a controlled substance
  • Felonies involving possession of a concealed weapon or firearm
  • Forgery or uttering a forged instrument
